About the Lodge:	A mere two-hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg and ten minutes from Sun City, lies a place of breathtaking beauty and serenity. A place called Bakubung Bush Lodge. Concealed in the rich expanses of the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, Bakubung, or "People of the Hippo", offers guests everything they need to get in touch with the bush.
Total number of rooms or chalets:	76 rooms featuring either two double beds or one king size bed, en-suite bathroom including a shower, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, tea/coffee machine, colour TV (with DSTV), hairdryer, plug for electric shaver and Internet connectivity. All hotel rooms have doors leading onto either a balcony or patio and have panoramic views of the Park and the Hippo Pool.
Children Policy:	Children under the age of 18 (maximum 2 children per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis if sharing with 1 or 2 adults. Children occupying their own room will be charged the full adult rate. Children under the age of 12 years, accompanied by an adult, qualify for a complimentary game drive, but they are still required to pay the entrance fee into the Park. Minimum age for games drives is as per the lodges regulations.

Rate inclusions:	Breakfast and dinner daily. Game drives are available at an additional cost. Guests can also self-drive in the Game Reserve.
Notes:	Minimum 2 night stay required over weekends (Friday & Saturday night/Saturday & Sunday night).

Legacy Junior Rangers Programme:	Bakubung and Kwa Maritane Bush Lodges have developed a hugely engaging program specifically geared towards children, this being the Junior Ranger’s programme. Legacy Junior Rangers programme allows parents to enrol their kids in a unique, educational and, most importantly, a fun experience. Under the supervision of trained staff, parents can rest assured that their kids will be well-looked after whilst participating in a host of educational activities allowing the whole family a great getaway. Activities focus on natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the Pilanesberg National Park. Activities have been created for children from the ages of 6 years old to that of 12 years old and aim to encourage an appreciation for nature, conservation and natural resources. From learning about the history of the Pilanesberg National Park, participating in wildlife walks allowing children the opportunity to find out more about wild animals, the sounds various birds make become prominent as guides teach one what to listen for as well as that of the purpose of the various plant life around the lodges.
