The Maritim Hotel, Mauritius is a luxurious resort hotel located in a
remarkable setting right in the middle of Turtle Bay, the first National Park
for marine life in Mauritius. On arrival, one of the first things you will
experience is the breathtaking view of the glittering turquoise green sea. A
trip in a glass-bottomed boat is all that is needed to reveal the underwater
world in all its multicoloured glory!
Accommodation
The Maritim Hotel has a slightly elevated position overlooking
the bay. There are 221 sea-facing rooms in the 2 wings stretching from the main
building. The Comfort Rooms have a balcony or terrace and are decorated in
natural tones with a warm tropical atmosphere. Rooms have double or twin beds
and the business rooms have Internet access. The Deluxe Rooms, decorated in
a tropical style, are slightly larger than the Comfort rooms and also have their
own balcony or terrace. The Prestige Rooms are recommended for guests travelling
with children. These spacious rooms have a furnished balcony or terrace and
large bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Internet access and 2 telephone
lines are also available in these rooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, a bath
and shower, hairdryer, safe, television with in-house movies and music channels,
telephone, mini bar.
The Junior Suites are decorated in natural tones with dark wood
furniture. These suites have a lounge, guest toilet, 3 telephones, 2
televisions, Internet access. There are 2 Presidential Suites, each with their
own unique theme, spread over 119sqm. The master bedroom has a private bathroom
with separate shower and bath, double basins and walk-in wardrobe. In addition
there is a large lounge, 2nd bedroom, Internet access, fax machine, 3
telephones, 2 televisions and guest toilet. There is also a large furnished
balcony or terrace.
Dining
The Maritim Hotel has 3 venues at which guests can enjoy a wide
range of different cuisine from table d'hôte menus and grills to a la carte
dining and International delicacies. Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of
excellently prepared meals and snacks during their stay. T
he main restaurant, Belle Vue, is serves a buffet style
breakfast (07h30 - 10h30) and dinner (18h30 - 22h30). Five times a week there
are different themed buffets and on the other nights guests can enjoy table
d'hôte menus.
Mon Désir , the hotel's gourmet restaurant, is open for dinner
from Monday to Saturday. Here guests can sample International dishes. Guests
booked on a half-board package will receive a credit towards their meal bill.
La Marée, located on the beach, specialises in seafood dishes
and other grillades. The restaurant is open for lunch from noon until 15h00
daily and offers a 'plat du jour' as well as a grill selection. La Marée is also
open 5 evenings a week (19h00 - 23h00) and guests booked on a half-board package
will receive a credit towards their meal bill.
The main bar, Quarter Deck, enjoys incredible views of the whole
bay. It has a distinctive maritime ambience and is the perfect location to enjoy
a pre or post dinner cocktail. A snack menu is available throughout the day. The
Pool Lounge overlooks the pool and afternoon tea and homemade pastries are
available. The Beach Bar located amidst palm trees on the beachfront serves
drinks, snacks and grills throughout the day.
Activities & Facilities
The hotel offers an extensive range of sports facilities for guests to enjoy
while on holiday. There are daily activities including beach volleyball
competitions, petangue, table-tennis, water-polo and football.

fees for hotel residents but equipment hire is at an additional cost, scuba

The Turtle Club is open daily from 09h00 until 16h00. The club
has a games/TV room, kitchen, toilets and a veranda where hostesses will take
care of children aged 3 to 11 years. Here children can enjoy playing games,
watching children's videos and there is a playground and daily activities
programme. Also available is the special children's dinner at 18h00 and
baby-sitting is available (with 24 hours notice) as a small fee.
Spa and Wellness
The FU SUI AN Spa, a Japanese style complex, offers guests a
range of treatments as well as a sauna, steam bath, cold plunge, power shower
and outdoor relaxation area. There is also a Health & Beauty Centre open daily
from 08h00 until 22h00. Here guests can make use of the hairdresser, beautician,
massages, pedicures and manicures (all with supplement).
